Carbon Dioxide (CO2)

Home
DESCRIPTION (Carbon Dioxide):
Carbon Dioxide is a non-flammable, colorless, odorless gas. It is shipped in high pressure steel cylinders as a liquid under its own vapor pressure of 830 psig at 70°F. There are many uses for Carbon Dioxide some of the more typical are refrigeration, carbonation and as the extinguishing agent in fire extinguishers.

COMPATIBLE MATERIALS (Carbon Dioxide):
Carbon Dioxide in it's gaseous form is a relatively inert material and therefore can be used in combination with any available metals. However, liquid Carbon Dioxide has the potential to form Carbonic Acid and only materials resistant to this acid will need to be used.
